This table also contains data on the amount of amide grouns in the chain and the number of macro-mole- cules measured in molar nercentages. An increase in the number of amide grouns by 1 mol. % lead5 to an increase in the melting point of poly- amides by 7 The possibility of formation of hydrogen bonds is determin- ed by the stereo chemistry of the macro-molecules. I Izv, AN SSSR, Otd, khim, nauk 1, 108-113, Jan 1956 Abstract i Ternary mixed polyamide systems containing LLI -aminoenanthic, W -amino- pelargonic or W -.aminoundecane acids and salts of hexamethylenediamine with adipiep azelaic or, sebacic acids as well as E -carbolactam in various combin- ations, were investigated. It was found that products with lowest melting points and maximum.solubility have average compositions and are oriented in the central part of the diagram. The authors investigated the inter-dependence between the colubility and the composition of mixed poly- amides of diverse structure.
