Ill in, Institute. of Construction Xecbsnics, Academy of Sciences, Ukrainian SSR,.Prykladna Mekhanika, Vol 2, No 4, 1956, PP 392-403 This work studies the elastic deformation of a thin conic shell of. .conitant thickness under the action of an antisy=etric load. Sucb pioblems occur, "for example,:in the analysis of conic shells In the rotor, elements of Sao turbine engines, in S=jc9Riq,forces, and in forces re- from the lateral vibrations of rotors." The purpose of the article is to obtain a solution to the problem'.. which would be sufficiently accurate and convenient for use in design .bureaus. The investigation is based on the method of the complex trand-~ formation of equations on the the'ory.of thin shells which, in the solu- .-tion of the-problem on forces and moments, will make possible the pres- ebtation of a ptolon.on~+.fit''autin,y--metric stressed state of a sbell rotation in a rom similar to tbat of the axisymmetric problem. TITLEs Calculation of Closed Rotors of Centrifugal Blowers PERIODICALt Dopovidi Akademii nauk Ukrainalkoi RSR, 1959, Hr 8, pp 842 - 646 (USSR) APSTRACTs In this article, the author outlines a method for calculat- ing closed rotors (impellers) of centrifugal blowers (Fig. 1) with radial vanes as a constructively orthotropic disk, ' lacking a plane of symmentry in the elastic stage of work~of the material. The method is based on the hypothesis of the invariability of the linear elements parallel to the axis of rotation, and takes into account the action of tension and bending. The covering disks like the primary one, is taken Into consideration on determining the elastic characteristics of the constructively orthotropic disk in its entirety. The problem is reduced to the following system of two linear differential equations of the fourth order: Card 1/4 I SOV/21-59-8-7/26 ation of Closed-Rotors of Centrifugal Blowers (r F, )u I(,FP r F0 fr 9 5' + + (y + r z~ 5 r) 5, r 7., 2 A, r x 'ek ~n +rM' = + ,rmt. 7) 26 OVAL-59-8-7/ caiculation of Oloied Roto-O."-Of Centrifugal Blowers -,me.afnd radius it "a functions of o 0 change of r I w ereby r n 17, W o.oordinates),w'- Ape oific weight of the impeller material; a~-angular velocity bf ciroula .tion; g - acceleratiorL oausedby the grav ity forcely - coefficient of Puasson;Pf"- indexes .(disks and vanes)l E - modulus of elasticity. Since the .complexity of configuration of the impeller elements impedes analytic solution of these equations, the author suggests the application of numerical methods. For the calculation of ,concrete impellers the author used the numerical method of differential equations which is based on the formula of trapezia designed for the calculation of quadratures. The experimental study of the elastic stage of an impeller model cast from:organic glass which was conducted at the Institut stro.itallnoy mekhaniki AN URSR (Institute of Construction Mechanics of the AS of UkrSSR) showed that the author's Calculation data'sufficiently coincide with the data of this experiment. A special article will be dedicated to a detailed analysis of the results obtained during the analytic and experimental study of the impeller displacement and elastic Card 3/4 stage. Theelectron source is a three-electrode gun with an automAtic negative shift. The optical microscope makes it possible to observe the surface of the specimen at a magnification of 450 X, the resolution being 4 11A . The non-vacuum spectrometer analyzes X-rays with a wave- Card 1/2 9/046/63/027/003/021/025 B106/B256 0 leriw*th of up to 1- 5 and the vecuum upec trometer tho6e from 1 .5 to 10 A. 7h--_~ spectra are analyzed usine, Johannla method. The Brage angles range from 18 to 400 The analyzer 6ryetals are 0340', quqrtz cryitala with a radiuo of curvature of 500 mmo: The diameter of "he X-ray aource is 1-2 ,his value depends on the diameter of the electron probe, vihich is 6 1~k T~ho :im-_,erage in the focused probe, is about 10-6 A and tne current qtabili!y amounts to 0.5 % per hour. The instrument makes deterainationa on,- t'no _spe.;imen possible in the 1 -alLrange. When the specimen is impermeablq the change in the Bragg angle of the elements from Mg to U can be deter- m.1ned by using both SD6ctrometej~s' The distribution of the element in the apt-c:men to be determined in the given direction can also be determined. TI-11's io done by displacing the-specimen under the electron probe sith anelectric motor at a fixed Bragg angle corresponding to a characteristic frequency. The dispersion and sensitivity of the instrument were studied; t~~q senDitivity in an analysis of oopper via the K doublat was < 0.1 50~. riri,- 6 figures. 11 1 1' A "A C"t W, It I V" fit ' . .
