It can be seen from. the phase diagram of LiNO 3- CH3CONH 2 that two compounds are formed in this system, ,-ihich are LiTTO 3* 2 CH3CONH2 and LiNO 3' CH3CONH 2' The first eutectic point lies between 15-16 mol % lithium nitrate and 1400C. The conductivity was investigated in this system at 75, 125, 175 and 2250C. A maximum occurs in the isothermal lines at 75, 175 and 1250C. The viscosity and density were investigated in the temperature range of from 75 to 1750C. Some solutions have a considerable Card 1/2 viscosity. The absolute value of the temperature coefficient of investigation of the System Lithium Nitrate - Acetamide SOV/78- 35 - 1 C-241/3"' conductivity is slowly increased. The isothermal lines of conductivity belong to the type 8, according to Y. A. Klochko's classification. The eutectic area corresDonds to the maximum of the isothermal lines of conductivity. The viscosity of the system increases with the increase in con- centration of the higher melting component. The density changes almost linearly. The course of the conductivity curves shows that the conductivity curve of this system belongs to the type III. The system of the eu,:.ectic composition of lithium nitrate- ammonium nitrate-acetamide was investigated and plotted on the ternary diagram. The liquidus curve of the ternary system in- vestigated consists of three parts. The compound can be crystal- lized in pure state and as uniform crystals only from acetone solution. In water at 250 the solubility of this compound amounts to 70-91 wt % . The compound is practically insoluble in benzene and nitrobenzene-. The flat rhombic crystals have the following refraction indices: N 1-1-57-1.59 and If 2=1,450. It was not possible to isolate the compound LiNO Y2CH2CONH2 in pure forin from acetone, methyl alcohol, and ethyl alcohol. The existence of this compound was only found by thermal ana- lysis, determination of the electric conductivity, and micro- scopic investigation. Giazov (Zavodsk. laboratoriya, no. 1, 34 (1958))- The alloys, melted from spectroscopically pure Sb and-99.99;4 Te were studied in liquid and annealed state from 20 - 8000C. Results: (1) The isothermal lines of electrical conductivity are consistent with the Sb - Te phase diagram by N. Kh. Abrikosov et al. (Zh. neorgan. khimii, 4, 2525 (1959)). (2) The conductivity polytherms show changes of the chemical: bonds in the system. All solidsamples except for pure Te, have metal conductivity whereas the liquid samples, except for pure Sb, are semiconductors. There are 5 figures and 2 tables.
