TEXT: When TiC2+ ion is reduced at the dropping mercury electrode in a
support solution of HOlO4, only one wave is formed, while in H2SO4 and
(NH4)HSO4 solutions three waves are observed, which merge one ih the other
as the concentration of S042- ions increases. On the grounds of
investigations on the dependence of El/2 and of the wave height of the H+
and S042- ion concentrations, it has been deduced that the first wave
corresponds to the direct reduction of TiO2+ to Ti~+, the second wave to

t~ theory of barite floatatlon and structural pec%~ia=ities
of Ba - minerals; effects of the adsorption of sodium
oleat% liquid glass, ptt pulp ~ic_~, granulonetric mineral
chsracteristics on the floatation. It is indicated that
li2uid glass may act as a depressing agent and lead acetate
as a promoter. Optinum conditions for floa~tion of barite
are presented.

Abstract: diphenylcarbizide solution (followed by treat-
ment with 5% acetic acid). In the Ni determin-
atioq, the electrolyte used is a mixture (l:l:l:2)
of 5% (NH4)BS208, B% NaF, 0.5M sodium potassium
tartrate and ~% tartaric acid solution; Ni2~ is
determined with a 2% dimethylgl~oxime solution.
For the determination of Co, ~N solution of am-
monium acetate and as the reagent a 2% solution
of ,~ -nitroso- ~-naphthol are used. For the de-
termination of Mn a 0.5M solution of sodiumpot-
assium tartrato serves as an electrolyte; prior
to the determination, Mn is converted into a cy-
anide complex by treatment with s mixture of l~
solutions 9~ KCN and NH~0H, is acidified by 5%
HE02 to Mn~ and then i� determined with 1% ben-

Abstract: ductivity with temperature in an interval of
100 - 500�C. The reaction yield and the,vari-
ation of the conductivity logarithm (l~L!~ ~.; )
under the action of the ethyl alcolhol va~o~ mix-
tures and the H20 of the permanant composition,
also, do not depend on the temperature in the
interval of 200 - 300�C. According ~o the auth-
ors, the above facts are in full agreement with
the viewpoint that, the quantity of current car-
riers in the catalyzer affect, before the start
of reaction, the absorption equilibria estab-
lished on its surface, as well as the reaction

A stud~was ma~e of the electric eonduetivit~ ( 6 ) of specimens
ef Zn0 prepared in various manners, as functions of the tem-
perature and gas atmosphere. Measurements of ~ were carried
cut with the aid of a linear bridge and amplifier at 50
c:ycles per second' For the purpose of vSm'ifieation ~he~ 8f
nmmy specimens was measured by the Miller method at frequencies
~ to 160 kcs. It was established that when the specimens are
h.eated to a temperature of 1000� C the frequency dependence
��~ disappears.
If the measurements of~at increased tem~erature follow dir-
ectly the cooling of the specimen, then the cuzve ln~ = f
(i/T) at two straight-line sections with activation energy
