Title Statistical problems of the electron multiplier Periodical Zhur. eksp. i teor. fiz. 28, 679-694, Jun 1955 Abstract The author expounds a method for determining the function describ- ing the distribution of amplitudes of impulses (monenta) in an electron multiplier if one knows the probability of occurrence of n secondary electrons in one elementary act. He solves the prot.- lem of determining the probability of this elementary act (event) if one knows from the experimental data the curve describing the distribution of impulses (momenta) according to amplitudes in a multiplier. The state of the particle nay change by collisions between particles. The probability of the A--;PA'' transition by collision is denoted by w(A..Al 1) dAI'dt, where kr(A ft ")) = it4- L-(-f (t The general diffusign equation is obtained in the following form 't I., (t*)) 1 (:-0) ~ (,+ (,~, t ) = ~ -~, (4, .4 ( /2 -t,,, 64 )4 t A 3/a, j J A" Card 1/2 C"'- , t ) d- '4 , dategory USSR/Nuclear Physics - Origin of Margetd and Neutr&I Particles c-6 through Matter Abs J6ur Ref2hur - Fizika, NO I., 1957,N0 581 By way of e-rq 1e the author discusses the probl4m of the distribution of the areas between a straight line and the projections~of the trajectory of a particle in an emulsion.
