Abstract: The toxic action of the chalk V-K deprives the in-
sect organism of life - the more soft the outer shell
of the organism is, the more quickly the destruction
is accomplished (young Curculionidae died in 3 days);
the toxic action is directly dependent on the humid-
ity of the surrounding air and on the temperature.
Best results were achieved at the relative humidity
(in the granary) below 75% (destruction in 4-10 days);
when the relative humidity was at 100%, the Curcul-

TEXT: The mechanism of liquid fuel atomization and the methods of
spray formation using direct spray and swirl type - injectors are presented
in this paper. The equations for the flow are deduced from first principles
for each type of injector and the coefficients of flow relating the injec-
tor's geometrical parameters give the criterion for the nozzle design.. The
description of relief - and "duplex" injectors is includedp providing fur-
ther improvement to the design of the ordinary type swirl injector where
high pressures and wide-range regulating devices are inevitable, in order
to obtain uniform atomization'of spray at different rates of flow. The ex-
pressions for the mean drop diameter of the spray are given for each type
of injector discussed using empirical formulae. There are 12 figures, 1 ta-

TLX,r: In this paper the analysis of injection is presented for the case
of a simple combustion chamber in the form of a circular Long cylinder
where fuel is injected in the direction of the uniform air flow. The
behavior of a single non-volatile drop of liquid fuel is considered; no
mutual collision or dissociation taking place during the process of atom-
ization. Equations for the path of the particle are obtained by con-
sidering the aerodynamic forces prevailing in the system represented by
Fig. 1. Mean drop diameter is assumed throughout and expressions are ob-
