Abstract: [Author's English summary modified] All female
patients admitted to the internal disease section of the
hospital in Swiebodzin and the tuberculosis sanatorium in
Torzym were subjected to gynecological examination. For
some of the patients this was the first examination of this
kind. In 237 out of these j89 cases disorders of the uro-
genital tract were disclosed. mostly precancerous states
and non-mali'gnant tumors; in four (4) cases malignancy was
established. Author proposes 'gynecological examination
of female patients as a routine examination on admission.
for the early detection and prevention of tumors of the
urogenital tract. There are no references.

Abstract: Comparative investigations were carried out of the synthesis of
ethyl amines M in an experimental unit in the! presence of 2 dif-
ferent catalysts (C). The old catalyst (OC) cccnt~aining 7-0 Ni,
2.1% Cr2 03, and 90% pumice had strong hydrogenating and weak de-
by-drating properties. The new catalyst (NC) containing 44 N1 and
51% A1203 had strong hydrogenating and dehydrating proper-ties. The

treatment utth the above dru-s of.67 infertile cows and
27 infortile heifers, all i-rith no pathological lesions of
the reproductive organs. Results, in percent fertiliza-
tion, were as follows: For stilboestrol and jestyl -- 80,
for stilboestrol and prolan -- 62.5. for stilboestrol alone
62.0, and for -estyl alone -- 5-3 percent. The six (6)
references comprise four (4) Polish and two (2) German
sources.

TITLE: foerrites in Programmed Digital Computers

TEXT- The explanatory article presents a general description of ferrite
systems mostly used in digital computers. A few logical sy-ctems built in dif-
ferent versions of magnetic systems are described as well &-- a few examples of
larger magnetic units (register, distributor, oounter, ferrite memory, control
unit, "dead" memory). An out-line description is given on the application of
rectangular bysteresis loop magnetic materials in digital aystems and of the
magnetic computers Decoa Cl and X-308. The advantages of ferrite and permalloy
cores in magnetic systems are mentioned. The article is based on English-lan-
guage references and to a great extentis aduplicate of a relsort presented at the
Krajowa Konferencja Perry+owa (All-Polish Conference on Ferrites) in MAY 1959.
