Abstract (English~summary modified]: Very thorough clinical data on 4
women with myasthenia gravis; aged 16 to 23: 1 had th~mius persistens,
2 incompletely involuted thymus.- Definite improvement in all 4 after
excision of thymus tissue; 2 years postoperatively 1 Iu,d died from
intercurrent influenza, the other 3 are all better than preoperative.
Early thymectomy is recommended in this disease. Photcoicrograph; 3
specimen photographs; 3 tables; 2 Yugoslav and 16 Westcrn references.

TEXT: A patent is delivered for a pneumatic vibration device for shaking
parts (to remove the electrolyte) . The parts are fixed on a suspension device
after they -have been taken out of the bath, e.g., after tinning. The vibration
device has a cylinder inside of which a piston moves; the piston is fixed an the
shaft top (the part is suspended at the bottom) . In the uppor and lower portion
of the cylinder there are holes for letting out and in compressed air. In the
piston an aperture serves to transfer the compressed air from underneath the pia-
ton to the upper cylinder portion (over the piston). A blaWc disk acts as a slide,
valve; it is located below the piston and moves freely along the shaft. During thr,
upward motion of the piston the disk is pressed by the air pressure to the lower

cylinder edge and closes the by-pass aperture. When the piston approaches the top
cover of the cylinder, special squeezing pins of the disk bv,,tt against the cover
(the pins pass through the piston and protrude outside the top) the disk'is prer-wd
off the piston, the by-pass aperture is opened, the air passes into the upper cyl-
Inder section, and is let out. Subsequently the piston and the blank,disk descends,
under, the load of the suspended part; in the lower section:of the cylinder the
piston lies tightly upon the disk; as a result the by-pass aperture is closed and
the cycle is repeated.

TEXT: Concrete is protected from corrosion and mechanical damage by
chemical treatment of its surface or by the application of coatings. The
following are examined: fluorination by the fluorosilicates of magnesium$
zinc, aluminum and lead; chemical hardening with sodi-am silicatei gas
treatment, with silicon fluoride; oxalic acid treatment (oxalation). The-
following are cited as examples of mochanical protection: surface
application of bituminous mixtures; treatment with plastic compositions
based on polyvinyl acetate emulsionev or copolymers of fluorodivinyl;
application of mixtures of cement with rubber latex., Some substances are
