TEXT: An adhesive, type MA 22 is prepared on a polystyrene resin base.
Investigations (of moisture resistance, heat resistance, creep, etc.)
have shown that the adhesive satisfies requirements for strain gauge
adhesives and is better, particularly as regards water resistance, than
the nitrocellulose adhesives previously used for this purpose. Service
tests on the adhesive have shown that it can be used for prolonged strain
gauge measurements under variable atmospheric conditions at an ambient
temperature of 4
