Abstract - Conioscopy is not considored to be a
reliable diagnostic method
in congenital glaucoma as concluded on the basis of
study of 47 eyes in 25
patient:s studied at ages 2 months to 47 years and
divided into 5 groups
according to gonioscopic appearance: there was little
if any correlation
between gonioscopic picture and severity of glaucoma.
Conioscopy is
definitely of interest in such cases, but proper
evaluation of findings is
possible only to a specialist who sees a vast number of
patients. Three

Abstract: CAuthors, Hungarian mumary modific_q The effect of
collulin on
the biopotentials was studied~, ucing an intracellular
technique, on the frog
heart ventricle functioning in normal Ringer's solution as
well as in
others -4th the NaCl content decreased by 20 and 40 per cEnt.
It was -found
that, on a heart, in normal Ringer's solution, the oizo of
the inverse poten-
tial (overshoot) and the slope of the ascending loop of the
action potential
curve were greatly increased by collulin while the resting
potential and the
rate of ropolarization remained unchanged by it. In contrast
to cellulln,,
only the size of the inverse potential was increased by
adrenalin while
the latter did not increase the rate of mximal
depolarization. Similar
correlations were noted on the frog heart functioning in
Ringer's solution

Observations were made
on 24 cases of glandular cystic hyperplasia of the
endometrium among
climacteric and post menopausal age groups. The
histological structure
of theca hyperplasia was found in every ovary that was
removed. Lutein-
ization of theca cells was more common among the younger
age group.
Active hilus cells were equally frequent in both groups.
The mean
value of estrogen excretion was higher in the older group
and was ap--
proaching the values found in the middle of a normal cycle.
The various
estroaen fraction values are reported in detail and the
authors conclude
that the disease is the function of a disturbance in
estrogen synthests;
