These formulas simplify calculations and make the process of constructing a

ABSTRACT: The problem of determining the number of graduations and the nonlinearity
of the acale of analog digital converters used in determinative self-lefuming con-
trol systems was analyzed. The solution of this problem, was discussed for the case
in which the probability distribution density of the perturbing effects io known.
It was shovn that for plants char~cterlzed by a single perturbing and a single
regulating effect, the problem of graduation into situations may be carried out with
an analog digital converter if coupling Is introducted to displace the discretiza-
tion level. The required displacement of the levels is determined not only by the
probability of the perturbing effect, but also by the parameter of the controlled

isoplethysmograph is proposed with the following advantages over the old
models: (1) the form and length of the apparatus are nearest to the form of the in-
veatigated organ; (2) an isocaloric regime is ensured from the beginning to the end
of the Investigation, (3) the temperature of the water in the apparattin in between
320 anti 35'C. in accordance with the skin temperature of the hand; (4) the opening
of the apparatus in shut with a rubber sleeve instead of placing the hand In a rubber
glove; (5) the basic plethysmograms are recorded with a 'floating pen'. adapted
to the desired magnification. To deduct general conclusions from the re-
sults obtained. it is necessary to introduce a uniform method of work and to add to
each plethysmogram a brief note with data pertaining to the isocaloricity of the
regime, the temperature of the water. the speed of the kymographion and the scale.

The region between the Kura and Iora. present a number of asymietrical.
mountain ranges stretching in a general Caucasian direction, with altitudes
450-800 meteras- which are divided by wide flat4-bottom valleys. Within
the limits of Azerbaydzhan, the region is complicated by neogene and
quaternary rocks containing lightly soluble components: gypsu, carbonates,
and other salts. Clays and sandstones predominate among the neogene rocks;
the quaternary deposits are represented by loess-type clayey loams. The
climate of the region is dry and moderately warm. (RZhGeoly no 3, 1955)

Title : Contribution to the Statistical Theory of the Atomic
Nucleus III.

Abstract : An investigation was made of the statistical model of the
nucleus with homogeneous and inhomogeneous density of nu-
cleon distribution. It is shown that the paired central-
ly-sy=etrical potential of interaction between nucleons,
which contains along with the spin exchange term also the
ordinary (non-exchange) repulsion potential, leads to sa-
turation of the binding energy of the nuclei and to a di-
finite value of the nuclear density. For parts I and II
