The Yerevan Tire Plant hae a vulcanizing shop, an electric shop, an assembly
shop, and a prepnration shop. The plant has been fulfilling its plans regularly.
It fulfilled its gross production plan for the first half of 1954 by 105.6
percent. During the sa~me period,, it increased labor productivity 11.6 percent
over the first half of 1953, and saved more than 24,000 square meters of1tire
cord.
Sergey Gavrilovich Dayakhehev is the plant director. A. Gevorkyan is deputy
director, P. Korkhmazyan is chief power engineer, and A. Burnazyan is chief
of the design bureau.

A ii 11 A C T For the reception in the frequencies of the Vth TV-channel,
it is necessary to modify the coils of the [IF amplifier of the
IIIrd channel of the "KBH-49" TV set by adapting them to the
Vtb "W-channel. The details of this method are described in
this artic:le. In case the radio amateur does not want to make
changes on his TV set, he can manufacture a special accessory
unit, contained in a separate aluminum box of 55 x 120 x 40 mm,
which will allow the recaption in the Vth TV-channel with the
TV sets "KBII-49", "EkrRn", "Luch" and "Temp-l" without an7 in-
terior modification. This accessory unit contains 2 "6)K4"tubes,
its lead-out consists of a 400 mm long coaxial cable, the power
is supplied either from the rectifier block of the TV sets or
from a separate rectifier giving 160-230 volts.
