TITLE: Working of Magnesite-Chromite and Chamotte Masses in Centrifugal Edge Mills "Model 115" (Pererabotka magnezitokhromitovykbi i shamotnykh mass na tsentrobezlinykh begunakh "Model' 115") PERIODICAL: Ogneupory, 1958, Ur 6, pp. 250 - 257 (USSR) ABSTRACT: The centrifugal edge mills "model 115" were developed by the Central Institute for Poundry-Machine Building. In the Zapo- rozhlye worl's they are used for the working of the masses of refractory magnesite-chromite products as well as for chamotte masses. In figure 1 the construction of an edge mill for the production of refractory products is shown without any changes and then is described. The water is added automatically from the mains (see figure 2). The device for the supply of slip is shown in figiire 3 and the total view of the edge mill "model 115" is shown in figure 4. 1) Production of chromium magnesite products. In the Zaporozhlye Card 1/3 works the edge mills are mounted under the devices for dosaging -Working of Magnesite-Cbromite and Chamotte Masses 131-58-6-3/14 in CentrifuE.;al Edge Mills "Model 115" the woight. The charge is 6oo kg. In order to find 'out the optimum working reeine the influonce of the duration of working on the Granulation of the mass, the density of the raw products, as well as the properties of the finished products were checked. The results can be seen from table 2. Based on these results the mixing cycle, as mentioned in the tableg was found. In table 3 the average weight by volume of the raw products is mentioned for January-February 1958v worked on centrifugal edge mills as well as on mixing edge mills. 2) Production of chamotte products. The dosaging of clay and chamotte is carried out by means of automatic weighing devices, of the slip volumetrically and also automatically with pneumatic control. From table 4 the influence of the duration of working on the granulation of the masses can be seen. In table 5 the weights by volume of the unfinished pieces as well as the pro- perties of the products with durations of the working cXcla of from 3-5 minutes are mentioned. In the production of chamotte Card 2/3 the optimum charge of the edge mills is 5oo kg. Wd'rking of Magnesite-Chromite and Chamotte Masses 131-58-6-3/14 in Centrifugal Edge Mills "Model 115" Final concluoione: 1) The centrifugal edge mills "model 115'" can be used for the working of masses of magnesite-chromite as well as of chamotte products. It increases the output as well aa the quality of the mass. 2) The use of centrifugal edge mi-la makes it possible to completely automize the working process of the masses. 3) It would be useful to organize the production of these edge mills for the industry of refractories. There are 4 figures and 6 tables. JISSOCIATION: Zaporo,-,hskiy ooneupornyy zavod (Zaporozhlye Works of Refrac.tories) 1. Chromium-magnesium alloys--Processing 2. Refractory Materials --Production 3. Pyogenes aureus, 1. coll and Pa. aeraginosa strains were adapted to the bacteriostatic effect of methylene blue, trypaflavin, protargol, penicillin and streptomycin. The ac- quired resistance of the different strains varied. Strains adapted to methylene blue be- came resistant also to protargol and trypanavin, remained. however, sensitive to psni- cillin and streptomycin. The acquired resistance against methylene blue disappeared after culture in normal broth. The virulence of M. pyogenee did not change when the organisms became resistant to methylene blue. The debydrogenace activity of the strains was higher than that of the original strains. Jeney - Debrecen So: Excerpta Medica, Vol. II, No. 10, Sect. II, Oct. 1949 KGROSSY, S.;SOMGGYI, T. A new clinical entitv of certain affections of the small vessels of the leg: Neuroangiosis cruris haemo- siderosa. The aetiopathogenesis of leg ulcer ACTAMED. ACAMSCIENNT.HUNG. (13udapesta)1954, 6/1-2(77-96)lllus.17 By neuroangiosis cruris haemosiderosa is defined a pathological change of the blood vessels of the lower leg and the dorsurn of the foot. accompanied bv a structural change in the peripheral nerves, due to capillary diapedesis oi ery- throcytes and to persistent or progressive haemosiderosis. All the symptoms should be present for the diagnosis to be established. The relationship to the va- ricose and postthrornbotic syndrome is not yet clear. Capillaritis (Gougerot and Touraine) was often observed, but these were regarded as complications. Ne- crosis and ulceration were also considered of secondary importLnee. On the grounds of experiments carried out by Laplane and Brocard (1937), in which inflammation, necrosis and hyaline degeneration were brought about in experi- mental animals by stimulation of the sympathetic nerves. the nervous affection is regarded an probably primary. This opinion was supported by the histological 361 C a AJr examination. It i's contended that purpuric and pigmented angiodermatitis (Favre and Chaix), dermatitis Hchenoides purpurea et pigmentosa (Gcugerot and Blum) and white atrophy (Millian) are no more than secondary phenomerq (dermatitis, atrophy, etc. of the pathological picture described above.
