TITLE: Chromosiliciding under heating by high frequency current

TEXT: Chromosilicating was carried out on specimens 10 mm diameter and 30
mm long of steel 10, 20, Y10 (UlO), and pig iron grades Cr 18 - 36 and Cr 24-44,
at temperatures of 1,050 - 1,100 0C with heating for a period of 10 and 20 min
I powder mixtures having two compositions:' 1) low-carbon Fe-Cr grade XpO
in
(KhrO)(ferrochrome) 90% and Fe-Si grade Cu 75 (ferrosilicon) 10%, the inert mass,
was provided by adding ground chamotte powder 30% by weight of the ferrous alloys;
2) Cr and Si alloy powder with 5% Si content obtained from an induction furnace
was crushed down to grain size 0.5 mm in one case with HC11 treatment (5% by
weight of the ferrous alloys), in the other case with the addition of ammonium
chloride. Tile second method is more practical. The thickness of the layer
obtained by high frequency current heating of steel specimens is equal to
0.2 - 0.3 mm, and of pig iron specimens - 0.1 mm, while under heating in an

electric furnace it is 0.01 mm on both st?el and pig iron specimens. Th,~
chemistry of the process of chroming Fe-C alloys is analogoxs to the processes
of chroming and siliciding. Under heating by high-frequency current the
processes of thermal-difffusion saturation of Fe-C alloys with Cr and 51 are
considerably intensified. 3i accelerates the Gr diffusion, and C retards it
considerably. A chromosilicided layer Is more viscous than a silicided one and
turns out to be more heat-resistant and acid-proof than a chrome-plated layer.

ABSTRACT: Attempts to utilize electronic computers for the analysis of biocurrents
of the nervous system began in 1965 at the Institute of Ph A.--A , hogomol-
ets, AN UkrSSR (Institut fiziologii AN Ukr~SRY. The analysis of the pulses from
individual neurons were analyzed on the "Kiev" computer according to an algorithm
developed by Cand. of Phys.-Math. Sciences Yar vitski . Subsequently, this group,
directed by Senior Research Associate N. D.-StRt~~nkp,. proceeded to automate the
analysis of the natural electrical activity of the nervous system. The paper presents
the probabilistic principles (one of the methods of correlation analysis) forming the
basis for the establishment of the algorithms, the properties of the algorithms, the
establishment of the spectrum of the.oscillatory processes, and certain features in
