TKU: The authors studied the liquidus of the eyatem NaCl - KC1 - CaCl 2
by the visual-polythcrmic riethod under conditions similar to those of
the previous paper (Lef.2010. Sodium and potassium chlorides~ type
"chemically pure", were crystallized out of water, and carefully dried;
anhydrous CaCl2 was cbtiinnd by the method of Ref.,20. Ten cross sectioas

PERIODICAL: Sb. stud. navchn. rabot., Belorussk. politekhn. in-t, 1957,
Nr 3, pp 92-95
ABS T RAG T: It is pointed out that the rate of flow through a bottom outlet
is subm( rgod in the tail water is not the same as the flow rate
obtainini, when the outlet is not submerged in the tail water,
because the cocificient of resistance of the backwater will be
different in the two cases. The author observes that the data
obtained from his laboratory experiments with respect to un-
submerged outlets indicate that said coefficient may be taken
as equal to imity, independently of the type of outlet exit in-
volved (which accords with the recommendations in the litera-
ture). Ir the case of submerged outlets, however, the coeffic-
ient in question is dependent on the type, of transition used be-
tween th,! outlet and the open channel. According to the author's

Title : Rddiographic Irive3tigation of Ferromagnesia Chlorites
Or i f; Pub Sb. Kriatalloe;raflya, Vol 5, Metallurgizdat, Moncow, 1956)
259-268
Abstract X-ray methods (Powder diffraction) have been used in the in-
vestigation of'16 ferronagnesia chlorites. The dependence of
the changes in the parameters b; and csin % on the composition
has been estat-lished; this mkes possible an analysis of the
chlorides and the deten.11nation of their apprDXiMtC COmPOSi-
tion. On the basts of the results from the radiographic ans-
lysia) it is ;rop-,)sed to clanoify ferromalpicala chlorides as
one family without subdivision into two separate groups, or-
tho- and leptochloride3.
