ABSTRACT: The equations described in the paper (1-3) serve the purpose of deter-
mining concentration according to analytioal pairs of lines near the
long-wave boun6ary. In the case of a large diatanoe between these lines
the factor of oontrant must be taken into account. If a corres-
ponding ooeffioient is ihtroduoed into the equation, the concentration
of the component according to the lines located in different domains
of the spectrum can be determined. In this case the equation is as

As a result a table of the determination o-!' the sodium oonoentrations
with respect to potassium and a tablt of the results of the alkali
determination in the solutions given is mentioned. This method of
analyzing the aqueous solution of the hydrochlorides of sodium and
potassium salts makes it possible to determine the content of potaaal-
um of 0.0~.'. &/m1 and of sodium of 0.0005 g1ml. This method can also
be applied for the analysis according to the method of combined light
dispersion as also in molecular spectroscopy. There are I figure,
2 tables, and 3 Werences, 2 of which are Slavic.
