"Glycogen Metabolism in the Pulp of Adrenal Glands,"
Prague, Ceskoslovenslm Fysiologie.Vol 15,*No 2, Feb 66, p 122
Abstract: The metabolism is basically anoxidizing. The influence
of epinephrine,. strophanthin, hypertensin, KCN, monoiodo-acetate
and dinitrophanol on the metabolism of rabbit adrenal glands
was investigated in vitro. Glucose utilization was increased
by epinephrine, hypertensin and dinitrophenol, decreased by KCN,
strophanthin and monoiodoacetate. Lactate production was
increased by epinephrine and dinitrophenol. No references.

Title The Removal of Lignin From a I-loud Pulp in the Preparation
of Kraft Cellulose.
Orig Pub Kemija u industriji, 1958, 7, 113 3, 65-68.
Abstract The conditions for pulpinc; kraft cellulose from pine
grmndwood were investi(~ptcd. In the first series of pul-
pin-, the pulping liquor contained NaOH and lin2S ard in
the second one - NaOH and polysulfides of sodi= . In the
third series of pulpina the composition of the pulping
liquor was the same as in the second one but a black li-
quor was added. Pulping with a solution containing Na2s
producea optimm results at a 110% sulfide concentration
and better still by using sodium polysulfide with 1A,
Card of the sulfide concentration.
