ABSTRACT: The dependence of the distribution coefficient in the extraction
of plut-onium-IV compounds %,.,ith tributyl phosphate was investi-
gated. In the calculrition of the distribution coefficient the
term "true distribution coefficient" was introduced. The
distribution coefficient for ri-experiments is given in the case
of subnequent extractions taking into account the apparent and
the true distribution coefficient by the equation (11):

1,5 mol solution of tributyl phosphate in berizene at 2,0 moll
HNO 3* The true distribution coefficient of plutonium was calcu--
lated from the experimental results for IV-he determination of the
distribution coefficient of plutonium with concentrated tributy'l
phosphate. The not extracted residue was investigated with 239
respect to the a-radiation, and it was found that bosidos Pii
alao Am 241 exists. There are 2 figures, 2 tables, and 2
references, 1 of which is Soviet.
