Abstract: Chronic experiments with dogs are described. The
reflex for the evacuation originates in the stomach and is
probably a gastro-cholocystic reflex. Cephalic impulsion is
not important. Presence of food in the stomach is a necessary
condition for the evacuation of the choloeyst. The short
period of latency indicates that the evacuation is a reflex
mechanism. No references. Submitted at "16 Days of Physiology"

ABSTRACT: The kinetics of reactions decreasing the current efficiency during electrol-
ysis of fused salts were studied by taking as an example the eloctrodeposition of sodi;
um from fused NaCl on a liquid lead cathodeat 800-8100C with a distant anodic comp&rt-'.

of sodium In the cathodic malt at three different current densities (0-05, 0-10, and
0.15 A/cm2). Theaquation was found to apply with sufficient accuracy only at 0.05
A/=2. A marked decrease in the rate of formation of the cathodic melt was observed
after the mole fraction range corresponding to a sharp increase in the activity of so~-
diun in the malt was reached. It is concluded that processes leading to the loss of

consumption In by 15% less than on basic are furnaces. The quality of steel melt-
ted in acid arc furnaces Is satisfactory. Information Is given on the wide -use of
