Pre- and postoperative haernodynamic and ECG data of 100 patients suffering from
mitral stenosis have been compared. In pulmonary hypertension and riglit ventri-
cular lesion the typical ECG signs of P-mitral, prolonged atrial conduction time and
riglit ventricular preponderance were observed. After successful commissurotomy
the pathological changes reversed simultaneously with the haemodynarnic findings.

The E-CG, taken in, the fossa suprasternalis and the 2nd right intercostal space
parasternally in cases of congenital or acquired aortic stenosis, shows alterations
which are characteristic of this clinical pictu
on thre. The pulse curve shows a plateau dur-
ing the rapid and slow systolic output, is plateau sN-stolic vibrations are %-isible.
The ECG in' the left 2nd intercostal space shows a si~iilar picture in the cases of
congenital pulmonary stenosis. The ECG is normalized after a fa%,ourable operation

Abstract: [Authors' Hungarian summary] The characteristics of the form of
apexcardiogram were studied in 100 patients with mitral valve defect.
Analysis of the graph led to the differentiation between valvular stenosis,
insufficiency and the combination of the two in every one of the cases. The
correctness of the diagnosis was confirmed by the intraoperative diagnosis
as well, in 52 cases, 3 Hungarian, 9 Western references.

cuss the necessity to provide personnel and apparatus to perform
certain specialized duties in certain locations, within the pre-
mise of a pharmacy. In the caseof eyedrops,details of the num-
ber of prescriptions handled and the number of hours required to
handle these and the necessity to provide specific facilities
for this purpose are discussed. An average Of 520 daily prescrip-
tions should be handled at such a station. Similar details for
the location of such facilities at hospitals are revievied. 7
