Abstract: The author does not consider the mixing of man-
ure and peat to ba expedient, since, in the ex-
experiments conducted, peat-.uanure composts, when
used as fertilizers, did not show advantages in
comparison with the use of bottom peat partly en-
riched with azotobacter. When peat is used as a
fertilizer, one has to take into account its slow
