discussed. It was shown that of the 5 Investigated periods, two (1948149, 19SI152) were!
abundant in snow; two (1950/51, 1952JS3) were normal and the remaining were poor In snow.
Ths highest snow retention, 547 million ml, occurred In 19SI/52 (90% of the annual runom
while the mean for the S yrs waa 230 mil. ml or 42% for the mean yearly runuff. In spite of
the brevity a the observations, a certain rhythm of requenoe of winters rich and poor in %vow
may be observed. A tendency to floods In the following spring and summer to noticeable,
after& winw. with abundant snowfalls when great quantities of water are stored In snow cover.
This maybe considered as an indication of coming floods.
