Abstract: The role of hypoglycemia which develops regularly after partial
y during tle regulation of the development of the chan[7'-~s in
the regenerated liver tissue was investigated. Administration of insulin
increased the total content of lipids, protein nitrogen, ribonucleic and
desoxyribonucleid acids. The mitotic index of rats who received insulin
was 100% higher than in those who did not receive it. 5 Western, 2

Classification of neuropaths according to aptitude for W rk

The ccmplicated life of modern man and the enormous demands made by work have
given rise to an increasing number of neuropathies. An important factor, not only
in the prevention, but also in the treatment of neuroses, consists in assigning the
various subjects to appropriate tasks, according to the type of neuropathy. For
instance: in cases of depressive neurapathy and neuropaths the Work should be
of a creative type, in lively surroundings, whereas neuropaths should be assigned
to quiet work without noises. The fact should be taken into account that in
cases of insanity work is absolutely out of the question. Leave or absence on account
of ill-health or brief periods of illness should be entirely avoided, as they
transform the subjective feeling of the disease into an obdective one. A cure
in a sanatorium or convaieseent home, outside the normal periods of leave,
is not recommended, except in cases of neurasthenia in which the subjects are
really exhausted. shorter working-hours and a change of surroundings and type
of work are affective. Neuropaths should be looked after in psychotherapeutic
institutions, which have been lacking up till now.
