ethylene glycol or Cellosolve at pH d.5~~7.5. Only in a few cases
developing was possible in acetic acid solution while using,
auxiliary agents (preparation 05~~209 emulsifier of the type ~i9

ABSTRACT: The prdsent paper describes the synthesis of red aza dyes. The
authors first synthesized twa azo pigment dyes that are used as
car varnish by various firms abroad. The qualities of these pig
ment dyes, the composition of which is given, however, were not
very satisfactory. In order to obtain light-fast and opaque
azino and diazo pigment dyes, the authors investigated aromatic
amines of. tha general formula; YxxNH2

of the sighting axis. The method of measuring angles and the number of observa-

lfl'cct of plastic deformation occurring during the manufacturing processes of pipes on
the physical properties of their base metal
itroitel'stvo truboprovodov, no. 4, 1962, 13-15
FERIODICAL:
TEXT: Systematic, failures are known to occur in the base metal of cold-expanded pipes in Soviet and
foreign pipe lines. T,he cold forming of pipe blanks made by die-pre;ising induces compressive prestra~ning of
the' order of 0.7 % approx. and tensile strains averging 1.2-2.2 % arse created while cold-expanding the pipes.
The induced stresses, although of different type and sign, accumulate and considerable cold-work strengthe-
ning of the metal takes place. American investigators have shown that precompression is followed by loss of
ductility and that tl~e fractures of prestrained specimens have a brittle appearance,
The authors studied the behavior of 14tH (14GN) and 19r (19G) steels used as piping material at the
Chelyabinsk Pige Plant and concluded that compressive straining has a detrimental effect on the tensile
properties of gas pipes.
