. Abstracic; with a conditioned mechanical or electroeutaneous
stimulus9 the author observed a condition "attuned"
reflex which consisted in the alteration of the
excitability of the of>tic analyzer in answer to
the action of the conditioned stimulus. There,
alterations in the opl;ic analyzer were character-
i2ed by selectivity, ~~s a result of which the
effects of those stimti~l i possessing a definite
correlation of intensity and duration were the
most markedly affected, Conditioned reflex reac-
tions were observed a:; a feature of "attuned
reflexes" in view of t.Y~e depression of the a(-rhythm
observed by the assoc i.ati on of a ~j et of air, caus-
ing blinking, with the illumination. -- Ye. N,

Abstract The curve of dark adap~l;ation was plotted with the avid of
short light flashes, which were projected at a dis~~ance
from 5 to 10 from a central hole in the form of a spot
~ and l6 minutes in diameter. The measurements were
carried out by two methods: (1) At fixed intensity of
.flash, the threshold of visibility was reached by chan-
ing its duration; (2) At a fixed duration of flash,
bringing it -to the visibility threshold by reducin; the

ABSTRACT. Tha 1P
mass with a given energy reserve in a resisting medium is expressed by e=ep+u+gt, where
u is the speed of the point. The optimum consumption of the mass is given by ~
where m is the mass and a is the resistance of the medium. The constant A is deter-
mined from the initial conditions. Initial speed is taken as zero. Presented by Yu.
