Abstract In the years 1948-1955, observations were car-
ried out on the distribution and biology of
Apple Curculio, and in the regions most attac--ce-1
the actions of different insecticides were
studied. The best results (the smallest amount

ment In the middle of jipril. Almost the same
results (effectiveness 98.21@') were obtained
from a G.5,51o' suspension of Hexach-"oracyclohexane.
The average crop of the apples on the lots treated
with DDT was, for Boykan, 300-400 kg, and on the
control lot 25 kg per tree; for Jonathan, respec-
