PP 10-11 (USSR) ABSTRACT: The author states that in order to appraise the procluctivity of a certain oil reservoir in the unworked central part of the Tuymazy field It. has been decided to conduct the test at the No 1385 6hut- off vell. Hoinver., due to the high back pressiunee it vas too risky to sink the pump tubing and start the exploitation of the above well* In view of the fact that attempts to IcIll the back pressure by usual methods failed,, it vas decided to install at the vellhead a w1ubricator" (a kind of valve assembly) built from 14--in casing pipe. By intermittently opening and closing the vellhead valve and the outlet valve of tbIs device,, it became possible to ex- tract petroleum and to inject vater into the will in cycles. "he laboratory studied various operating relays And concluded that detectors of gamma-relay radiation must be fed by direct current. Halo- genous counters must be used as detectors. The intensity of their feed is almost equal to the anode feed of the electronic tubes used in the gamma-relay, and a common rectifier could be built. The authors give a detailed description of the device. The use of several such relays at the crushing plent YUGOK showed that the flow on the transmittinp belt could be efficiently controlled, thus avoiding clogging or breakage of the belt. The duration of the first period depends on the intensity of the microimpact effect and the resistance of the alloy to deformation. The development of the second period depends both on the nature of the alloy and on its microscopic flaws. A kinetic diagram is plotted from the experimen- tal data for erosion characteristics. The first period relates to'deformation of the weakest regions of the metal. As a result, a relief is formed on the surface of the speci- men. After this, cracks and deformation foci are formed. The second period relates to in- tense metal fatigue. The analytic method is used for plotting the kinetic curve for ero- sion. This method makes it Dossible to deter- mine the parameters and nature of erosion for a given alloy. The parameters are determined by the approximation of the experimental weight loss value of a specimen during testing. Mashinostroyeniye, no. 12, 1965, 88-93 TOPIC TAGS: kinetic theory, erosion, hydraulic device, metal deformation, plastic deformation /4 ABSTPACT: The authors study the kinetics of the hydroerosion of metals and alloys. In studying hydroerosion, metals and alloys with various compositions were tested on a jet-impact unit at an impact velocity of 80 m/sec with an 8 Mm nozzle diameter. The study showed that the velocity of collision of the speciemn and the jet of water is th, determining factor with respect to fatigue. The resistance of metals or alloys to bydroerosion depends on many factors. Among them are the nature, structure and the presence of microscopic flaws. The test results for various metals and alloys are shown in the accompanying graph. Zhese curves show that fatigue conforms to general laws with respect to microimpact.I)The hydroerosion of metal may be divided into two periods: the initial period which is characterized by deformation buildup, crack formation and fatigue foci, and the final period in which the specimen shows an intehsi HARININ , A. ~* --I- I... 1-------- 161. The 'contact adapter is placed between the movable upper part of the chair and the rigid lower part, Under the platform is a DC reversible motor with a decelerator; current jr. supplied through a VSA-5 solenium rectifier and rhaostat. The motor is rigidly joined by a stool shaft to the Card 1/2 SHULITS, M.M.; KAHAROV, L.L.; MiIRINICH&V,-,A..-N,..; SU YU-411of [Su Yu-j;nl --111- ~'-.-'.
