ABSTRACT: Information is given on results of tests carried out for the
purpose of determining the effect of technological factors,
such as the wire drawing rate, the patenting bath medium and
zinc plating, on the fatigue resistance of cable wire. On the
basis of the tests performed, the following conclusions are
madet The drawing rate has no effect on the fatigue re-
sistance of cable wire. The fatigue strength of lead-patented
wire is higher than that of salt-patented wire. It is ex-
pected that in future wires patented in different media will
have similar fatigue strength. Bright wire has a higher
fatigue strength than zinc plated wire. Fatigue strength of
wires produced by zinc-plating Is relatively low, Better re-
