Title The Dolomites of Slovakia and the Possibilities of Their

Abst From data of more than 100 analyses a study has been made
of the chemical composition of compact dolomites from 9
deposits and of doiomite sand from 1 deposit in Slovakia.
Limit composition (in ~): SiO,;,traces to 6 30, R~. 03
0.03-2.48, CaO 26.00-34.20, MgO 18.10-22.76: in most
cases the dolomites are characterized by considerable
purity and appertain, in composition, to the normal type.
High contents in MgO (21-62-22-76%) of the sand are due
to the fact that in comminuted state the dolomites under-
go more readily the weathering process with formation of

The dressing of toal includes screvning and washing.
The object of the first is to separate the coal according to
grain size. the second is to separate the coal from the
angue inde ndent of gralis size. Washing is tx%%W on the

The method mainly consisted in the determination of the hylrati,n

Ta;Ta20 5 PbO2 first rises slowly, then more rapidly; resistance crops,
leakage current grows consicerably. (5) During Ni 205 reauction the
capacitance of Ta Ta20 5 Ni2o5 first rises, then falls cons-.derao.'Y;
resistance at first falls sLr-Qenly ana then increases slowly; t~.e leaKage
current passes through a maximum. (4) For the Cu - MnO 2 and Cu - Ni 20 11
couples, reauction of tne oxide changes the type of conductivity. n-typu

The rectifying action of the capacitors is due to the formation of an in-
sulating layer of stoichiometric Ta205 or p-type Ta 205 at the interface
between Ta205 and YnG 2? PDO 21 or Ni203during the anodic polarization of
Ta. The resistance of triis layer depends on the content and chemical
potential of the oxygen in the oxides which are in contact with the Ta 205V
and on the type of their conauctivity. The 're are 8 figures. The most
