Twelve different methods were studied In 343 non-pathaJogical cases, by determin-
ing certain physiological values, such as: hatmatocrit. urinary volume, clearance,
pH. Na content of blood and urine, etc. The physiological changes in renal functions
were precisely determined and are thoroughly dealt with; extensive tables are
presented. Particular attention is often paid to the effects of various methods on
theme values when measured at short intervals. The results allow conclusions on
the indications for balneological methods. Undt - Vienna (XLX.6,9)

Abstract: Rabbits, following preliminary sensitization, were

of renal extract. The obtained extract was in-
Jected in the femoral artery in cats, under hexo-

artery was registered. Within 10-65 seconds, fol-
lowing the injection of the extract, blood pressure
in the cats rose by 30-90%. The elevation of blood
pressure persisted for 6-10 minutes. Kidney ex-
tract of intact rabbits failed to produce blood
pressure elevation in cats. Renol was produced in
Ghe kidneys of the rabbits within a few minutes,
