TEXT: Ftoroplast-4 (polytetrafi%cro ethylene~ was dlued to organofluorine
a;~d acrylonitrile rubbers. .-For this purpose the surface, degreased by
means of gasoline, was modified with a aodium-naphthalene complex
activated by addition of 2 g-atora Na mietal per mole naphthalene in 1 liter
tetrahydro'Luran. After 40 see treatment of the film, rinsing in acetone
and water, and 30 min drying at 1030C, the surface color turned from

A~T.RACT: The properties of 88-14P adhesive, prepared from NP nairit, was studied un-
der laboratory and industrial conditions. 1"he adhesive does not ~~hange its viscosity
and adhesive nronarties during storage, and is thermally stable u-o to ?01C. The opti-
MILM strength of ihe adhesive joint is achieved 24 hours after the bonding. The adhe-
sive uronerties of 8.3-NTP are not impaired by the anction of low termeratures. 'dhen 113,
part of toluene is introduced into the adhesive comnosition as tho solvent, the crys-
tallization temDerature of 88-NP decreases. The adhesive produces satisfactory bond-
ing strengths with various materials. It is concluded that 88-14P adhesive is suitable-
for bonding the majority of commonly used rubbers to various materials. In the r)res-
ence of a plasticizer, however, the bonding stren-,th decreases because the plasticiz-
ers migrate from the rubber to the film of adhesive and cause it to soften. Orig. art

,ABSTRACT: For the purpose of simplifying the above method it is su6geste,31 to
1-Lse thiourea, which results in a complex compound of yelloa colcr
with Bi3+-ions in ar. acid medium. This compound is marked by a
high degree of absorption within range of the violet spectrzP., the
absorption maxizum being located outside the visible field. The
intensity of the change of color here corresponds to the Lambert-
Beer law. For the Analysis the solution of 1 g tin ir. 5 ml ac-:ua
regia + 15 ml nitric acid and 10 mll 10% thiourea 43 used. Photomet-
rization is carried out on the apparatus "(?3K--M" vrith a blue
filter. As a measuring device the spectrophotometer "Cq -3111 is
used. This method yras introduced at the laboratory of the
Magnitogorskiy Kombinat and gave satisfactory results after having
been employed daily. There are 2 figures and I table.
