Abstract: noted at a consuaption of 0.015 mg. Consumption
of poisoned foliage was inversely proportional
to the a&iinistsrsd calcium arsenate dose; ex-
oessive large doses acted repellently. At an
outlay of 2 and 8 Xg/ha equal eiaounts of I
(about 0.041 mg) were consumed but the larvae
destruction was correspondingly 36 and 5BA;
apparently, the greater the amount of consumed
foliage, the less effective is the insecticide.
The application of W., prior to the withdrawal
of the larvae into soil provided there were no
raln within the next 3 days, would make it pos-

TEXT: A patent is issued for the hydraulic control aystam of 2-plunger
hydraulic presses for pressing plastics, extrusion of sheets etc. The presses
operate on the following cycle: supply of the main plurger under lew Wessurej
holding under high pressure; forth and back motion of the MXLII&ry pluftert back
motion or the main plunger. Those pressefs are controlled with the aid of heavy
and complicated servcAnechanisms which break down frequently. The pateated hydrftill-
Ic drive simplifies and facilitates considerably the control system of the proon.
In the schematic diagram (see figure) a continuous thick line IndicaUs the high-

small cylinder 22 of plunger 18 with the pressure supply source. The pltuirer "Yes
forth and sucks up the liquid from the reservoir through valve 1. Prior to cif),,-
ing the device, auxiliary slide valve 10 is brought into position L, cylinder 15

and Wood-46, both sensitive to antibiotics and with induced resistance to
penicillin, streptomycin, chloramphenicol,, O.Vtotracycline; erythrmWein
and nemWein were tested for their amino acid requirements* Qualitative
and quantitative changes in amino acid requirements were found in the
variants resistant to all the antibiotics listed with the mcception of
the erythrwWcIn-resistant strain.
