On the Propagation of the Secondary and Primary Dls%urbances of the Total Field

An e. rt. ension of thcs-, relations within the total field can also be accomplished
on the basis of some studies by W. Roll (?) and R.S~ Rivlln (2) and (4). The
author recapitulates the general theologic expressions: the relations Detween
stresses and deformations (1~8), the relations cz' an isotropi� linear theologic
field (1.10), the equations of convection corresponding to the T thermal fielU
(1.13), the equations of' the total f'ield (1~i9), and the lmpu!setheorem (1.20).
In order to explain the interaction of the tbermal and magnetic theologic field,
the author tries to establish symmetric relatlon.~ instead of the equations of the
total field. For this purpose he transcribes them in the form of (2ol) and final-
ly deduces the symmetric equations of the ternar[ ir~teraction of the three equa-
tions show symmetrically the interaction of the three forms of the =otal field.
Considering a deviation o[' the ~al,zes of the seconda,'-y field in relation to a
stationarM field, and the expression (3.!) being a component of r. he spectral de-
composition of the value of th~ primary end secondary field, the author dcduc~
successively the characteristic cone of the secondary disturbance of the total
fleld. Introducing the equation which gives the speed o~ th~ AlfvSn wows, he
obtains the solution of the linearized e~u~tion (3~43) and the ~elat. ion of fro-.

TEXT: The authors establish the equations of the transverse vibra-
tions of a straight girder which has linear viscoelastic proper-
ties depending on an arbitrary number of parameters. A series of
usual schemes in the theory of viscoelasticity are considered to
be the physical schemes of the properties of the viscoelastic ma-
terial. These schemes were first considered by L. Boltzmann and
later described, under the designation of Voigt and Naxwell models.
In this paper, the authors do not consider the plastic Pheno~ena;
the general theory of motion, however, is established for an
Alfrey-type model of generally linear oscillation. Since no creep-
