ABSTRACT: The author integrates the equations for the stability of a
plane clamped arch subjected to a uniformly distributed radial
load which retains a direction parallel to the original plane of
the arch. Cascs are invegtig.Lted in which end sections of the
arch depart from their original planes and in which they do not.
It was found that when allowance was made for the coupled
bending -,'a rs ion rigidity of the arch the calculated critical
forces turned out larger than when this allowance was not made.

ABSTRACT: The described method of calculation is sitailar to that
given by Schallenkamp (ReC 21). The following notations
are used: the load P is of a mass It moving wil:h a
velocity v along a be%m, the unit mass of which is m
and the rigidity El. The differential equat:.on of
vibration of the beam is dqfined as Eq (1). where
y - bend of the beam, k - elastic coefficient of the
beam placed on a rigid Lase. The loading force
distributed alung the di.,3tance c is defincd as Eq (2).
The solut;.on is based on the Fourier general Formula (3)
where the function S M is found from Eq (4) or Eq (6).
The solution Gf Eq (6) can be expressed as a fum, each
term of which being determined as Eq (7). ThLU, the
Card 1/3 expression for finding the bending can be determined as
