abstract: The hydrazine compounds studied exert a strcn~;
inhibiting effect on the diamir.ooxidase activity
of mycobacteria. The studies confirm the
earlier assumption of the authors (RefZhurBiol,
19569 39050) that there is no relationship
between the tubercu~.ostat~.c activity of the c:~rn-
pounds and their capacity to inhibit thE; diami-
nooxid,ase of bacteria. The high sensf.tivity of
the enzyme to hydrazine df;rivatives pos;;ibly
indicates it to contain a carbcnyl gr.~u~a.
