TEXT: An-instrument was developed at,the Osoboye konstruktorskoye byuro
Mobgorsovnarkh,)za (special Design Office of the Mosgorsovnarkhoz) for the
electronic measurement ofthe motion of a boring bar relative to the
boring bench in ho:rizontal and perpendicular direction. This instrument
.-chiefly consists of 2 circular inductive pickups and an electronic
dekatron impulse counter. One pickup is mounted on the spindle head and
the shaft of the pickup is rotated during the vertical motion of the
spindle head. The Second pickup is mounted on the horizontal guides. The
modes of operation,of these 2 pickups (Fig. 1) are discussed in detail.
They consist of crown-like serrated bodies, which are mounted on the
movable and fixed parts of the machine opposite to each other. The

TEXTs A'simple method is suggested for t~e concentration of Ga and its
simulta"ous p!irif ication from Al and Zn in the processing of bauxites
--and Zn'4iree-vi'- The-mlithod is based on the different sorption of-Ga, Al

which contain quaternary X. In 7,N H01-P Ga is stron9l
y adsorbed on the
inionite and Al paoi3es into the filtrate.' Ga is elutriated from thp
'abionite by-HG1 solution (< 2 N). In the presence of Zn instead of Alt
the separation is e ffected in 2 N H01. With such, ~n acidity, Zn is ad-
sorbed by the anionite and Ga passes into the fil'trate. in order to
separs,te Ga.f2.bom Al'the alkaline.bauxite extract is neutralized vrith HC1
solutioni The separated Ga and Al.hydroxides,are filtered off viished
