ABSTRACT:' The development of Soviet signal co=unicatlons during the
Second- World Vier (1941-1945) is described. TEe Ore fe=egraphy was ,
extensively used,, being equipped either with heavy stationary sets of
Baudot and-ST-35 types.or with light field telegraph sets of 2BDA-43
and M-" types. The modernized LBK-19/14 and LEK-ZP/12 telegraph swit-~
chboards were puVinto operation. Now PK-40-telephone switchboards wer6
also.introduced in addition to old ones of XOP, RE-120 P-20 and P-60
types-used with the MIA-1, MiA-F,, UNAF1, TAM telephone sets., In the
course of the war
new improved sets ofATA-1-41t UNA-1-42, TAT-F* TAB
and TAI-43.types were manufactured together with FE-10, FX-30 and K-10
switchboards, The-usefulness of the now TAI-43 magneto-telephone set

Were used for radio communications. The ultra-short-wave radio station
of A-7 type with.frequenoy modulation was introduced in 1942 followed
by A-M. A-7B.and Pbfl types. The PO-2 radio station was widely used by-
the Air Force. The troops were extremely short of radio and telephone
equipment in 1942. In order to cover this shortage two plants for man-

ABSTRACT: In 1965, tests were made in Zaporozhiye Oblast USSR to find
fungicides effective against a parasitic fungus growing on apple trees. Studies
were made of self -moistening powders containing 251o karathane and 2570 MCI 143,
* 2516 concentrate of MC 1053 emulsion, a 5016 concentrate of dynacap emulsion,
* colloidal sulphur paste (as a standard) and also new, untested fungicides:
morocide, morestan and captan (on a colloidal sulphur base). There were consecu-

fungicides varies anti depends on the concentration of the compound. Morocide,
