Abstract: Data are given on the significance of sperm dosages
in artificial seeding of stm-geon. and sterlet roe
for incubation results. As the dosage Is increased
above the optlimal. the percentage of eggs with an
excess number of blastomers is increased and viabi-
lity Is decreased, evidently because such eggs die.
Sterlet roe with different sperm dosages (optimum
and abo,ze optimum) were recorded at different times

TEXT: The low-temperature centrifuaal compressor of the plant ChKD-
Stalingrad (Czechoslovakia) operating on Preon-12 was investigated. It has
5,000 rpm and is dr-~.ven by a synchronous 2,200 kw electro-motor. The cool-
ing installation, in which the compressor operates, has the boiling tempe-
ratures -60C and -4()OC- It has two stages with a cold output of 1.5 million
kcal/hour and 1.7 million kcal/hour, respectively. The characteristics of
both stages were investigated with variouj angles of the diffusor blades.
The suction pressure varied from 0.55 to 0.85 atm for the low-temperature
stage and from 2.0 to 3.15 atm for the high-temperature stage. The weight
cansumption of Freon was calculated by the formula
Gred , Gmeas Tsuc.meas Psuc-red

as the ratio of the works of the adiabatic and actual compression processes.
The characteristics of the compressor obtained in the tests are slcwn in
Figures 3 and 4. The maximum output is attained with an angle of the dif-
fusor blades of 190 for the low-.temperature stage and 28o for the high-
temperature stage. Ln increase in the compression degree is accompanied by
a censiderable increase in 6:. The maximum value of 7~.ais higher for the

high-temperature stage than for the low-temperature stage and is 0.74. The
output of the compressor can be controlled by changing the condensation
pressure within a range of 10 - 12 % only. The self-regulation is possible
only at a small heat load change of-less than 15 %. A change in the dif-
fusor blade angle reduces the compressor output considerably. A decrease
of the angle from 19 to 2.50 reduces the output by 75 %. The output can
also be reduced by choking of the auction. A change in the weight output
from 100 to 59 % by jaeans of choking corresponds to a decrease in the angle
from 19 to 9.50- It iras shown that the advantage of output control by means
of changing the diffusor blad angle is its wide control range. It is re-
commended to combine the method of changing the diffusor blad angle with
the method of suotion choking. There are 5 figures, 2 tables and 2 Soviet
