Abstract A study was conducted on the spinal cord fluids of 30 Pa-
tients with a pseudoneura8thenic form of toxoplasmosis
and of 10 epileptic patients with positive serological
reactions of toxoplasmosis. In the majority of patients
mild changes in the fluids were found (hyperalbuminosis,
a positive globulin reaction, etc.); however, these were
more frequent than in the group of epileptics with negRti-
ve tests for toxoplasmosis. After a skin reaction with
toxoplasmine of schizophLrenic and pseudoneurasthenic pa-

ABSTRACT: The content of catecholamines and the degree of thoir protainization
In the adrenals. blood, ani r0rocardium in acuto radiation sickness induced by
210 is reported on. The axperiments wero conducted on 33 male rabbits of

the Chinchilla brood. weiffing 2.5 - 3 kg (21 experimental and 12 control).
The animals wore given Po subcutaneously in a doso of 0.1 curie/kg of
bodywoight, inducing acute radiation sickness and death after 3-4 wooks. Blood
from tho heart and organs was removed from the rabbits under hoxenal narcosis,
Catocholamines (adrenalin, noradrenalin, and oxidation products) in tho blood,
i9wardlung and mxhLllaz7 layer of the adronals were doterminod by a fiuorercont-

ABSTRACT: An exhibition of students' work of the Czechoslovakian State
Labor Reserve Schools was arranged in Prague and later trans-
ferred to BratiBlaV&, from where it will be brought to the
German Democratic Republic. It contained 400 exhibits -
models of various machines and mechanisms, devices, appliances
and works of art. Some of the products that Czechoslovakia
exports abroad are actually manufactured by students. The
author speaks of the growing amount of construction work in
the country, Special attention was paid by the exhibition
visitors to the new synthetic material "Novodur" displayed by
school Nr 3 in Olomouts. This material, which has successfully
passed all tests, is a hard, easily machinable replacement
for non-ferrous metals and their alloys. Specialists also took
interest in an autogenous cutting apparatus offered by school
Nr. 25 in Nova Paka. Further the following items were displayed:

The roaction oil esters of trialkylstannylacetic acid with
chlorosilanes L3iCl Cj: ' i ML (0i ) Sici was studied. The investigatod
4' 130 Y 3 2 2j
chlorosi.lanos were found to react readily with the methyl esters of
trialkylstarmylacetic acids, yielding either the 0- or the C-isomers in
high yields, depending upon the time and temperature of the experiment
(the 0-isomer rearranges to the C-silylated product upon heating). Replace-
ment of the chlorine atcras by alkyl groups in the 0-derivatives gradually
lowers their ability to isomerize. The proton nagnetAc resonance and infra-
r_pd spectra of the compounds are discussed. Orig. art. has: 2 figures and 1 table;.
