For the purpose of intensifying scientific research work the
Academy was reorgar4zed. New laboratories were installed in
the Institutes for Chemistry, Physicep and Energetics. The
Institute of Energetics plans to concentrate research work
on the development of energetic systems. In the laboratory
for machine technology 5 themes were worked out. The institute
for Physics elaborated methods for the investigation and use
of radioactive isotopes in economy. Successful research work
was carried out within the field of detectors and radioactive
radiation. The work began concerning the dse of radioactive
isotopes in industry and economy were successfully continued.
Within the field of chemistry a new class of organic compounds
was produced: laktones and laktames of nitrous acid. Research
