An account is given of tile general characteristics of the types of river beds together with an evaluation of their distribution in northeast Soviet Union and the Kamchatka Peninsula. The types of beds are distinguished by morphological features and with consideration of hydrological data and t1le geolo, rical md (leomorphologica.1 situation. Regions with a predominance of one or another type of river bed are objectively singled out on a map of river bed types. The main rivers of the region are examined independently. The basic morphological features for distinguishing ty~pes of river beds are: a) the character of the bed outlines in plan, b) the relationship of the sinuosity of -Cqrd--l /3 ACC NR, AT6016520 the river bed and of the river valley,, c) the -itruct-ire rif t)-,(- lnicrorelief of Lhe f~-! -5 a feature from which the character of the deforniations in plan can be )udged, u)d d) tile hydrological, geomorphological, and geological charac (e ri sties of tile drainage area a-nd of the river valleys which permit judging tile characteristics of the basic factors of the evolution of the river bed, stream-flow reginic sediment discharge, and limiting conditions In a geomorphological respect the northeastern territor-'%, of the Soviet Union is divided inti) four main parts: the Yana-Chukotskiy motintain region, tile Koryakskiy rangre, tile east siber~an lowland, and the Anadyr- PenzhinsMy depression. Elach of these regions are discussed ill de- tail. The territory in question is divided into seven characteristic rcoons based (in the ( I..tr- acter of the types of river channel. geologicd structure. and geomorphological apiwaranct.: 1) rivers of the East Siberian lowland. which are characterized by unstable channels: 2) rivers of the Chaunskiy and Rauchuanskiy lowlands, which are also distinguished by unstable chwincls; 3) rivers of the Yana- Chukotskiy MOUntainous re0on, ()G'; of which have branched chirawls, 237 are nonmeandering, 6'* are free] 'y meandering, and 51 are limitedly meanderin,_ -;j rivers of the Vankaremiskiv lowland and the ChukotskiN* highlands within the Chukotski%- Peninsula where branched river beds predominated and nonnicandering channels are ral-4-, encountered; 5) rivers of the Anadyr-Penzhinskiv depression where 1-17 rivers wvt-(- exir.ii&d with a total length of GG30 km, 4t. 51k of the length of the rivers freely meander. The mountainous rckrions include: the xi,id,!Ic (western) range, the eastern range, :aid the eastern KamchatJ~a mountainous group plateau). The plains of Kamchatka are divided into the ~k-cstern Kamcaatl~a swamp plain, the central Kamchatka region, the castern and western 1"oothills and the western KamchatRa plain. The machine is a closed circular device with a centrally located automatic operator and devices for angu- lar orientation of the nolds as well as for opening and steam cleaning then. The machine Is designed for complete mechanization of the process of extracting the tire from the sold after opening, regardless of whether the finished tire is in the upper or lower balf of the mold. The automatic extraction device is made in the form of a bracket whicb, rotates 'on a vertical axis.
