Title The Influence of Stimulation of the Pressoreceptors of the
Large Intestine on the Composition of the Peripheral Blood
of Patients with Chronic Enterocolitis. Report I.

Abstract Air was injected in the amount of 1300 ml in a period of 3
to 4 minutes into the Laxge intestines of 25 patients with
chronic enterocolitis (9 with symptoms of anemia) and 7
healthy subjects. Most of the time an increase in hemo-
globin content and in the n-mber of erythrocytes and leu-
kocytes per mm3 was observed among the patients. In most
of the cases in which &nemla was present the blood indices

decreased. In the control group stimilation of the presso-
receptors of the intestine produced no choinges in the red
blood fmction, while in ind-ividual cases only a decrease
in the number of leukocytes was noted. It is possible
that there exists among patients with chronic enterocolitis
a particular seasitivity of the enteroceptors of the large
intestine, the stimilation of which may influence hemopoie-
sis.

hydromonitors. Their common front of operations is
about 900 m long. The excalrators operating on the
Card 2/3 site are of the EKG-4 type, one is of the ESh-4.."40
