AB5TRACT: The electrical potential of a mineral in ~+ator is irre,~xlar
oNing to the irregularity of its structure. The structure,
however, is a result of the conditions of formation and
further changes of the surface. The difference of the
surface potentials influences the oxidation of sulfides.
The authors give a survey of technical literature concerning
the connection between the properties of flotation of the
surface and their potential (ref. 1-6). There exists a
relation between the irregularity of the potential, the
fastening of a flotation reager.~t and the process of attaohment
of a mineralparticle to a sma].1 gas bubble. The authors
suggest an explanation of the niecYianism ref~ulatinb the

The quantity of solution used in each experiment was

ABSTRACT: The five ian-exchange resins used in the present
investigati+~n were selected as being representative of t~~o:~e
most widely used in industx�y (resins AN-2F, AN-2:E,G, EDE-1.GP,
N-O and AN-~.) and also because quantitative desorption
is more easily obtained in tree case of weakly ar moderately
stran.g basic exchangers such as AN-2F and EDE-iCl'~. The
code numbers, moisture content (%) and the ash content
