Abstract: [Authors' Hungarian summary modified] Cy-tochrome oxidase ac-
tivity dropped but lactic dehydrogenase activity did not drop in cirr-
hotic livers and the intralobal, zonal enzyme activity differences,
characteristic of the liver, disappeared in cirrhotic liver. ATP-ase
activity dropped also in the bile canaliculi of cirrhotic liver. During
regeneration of the intact liver, cytochrome oxidase and lactic dehydro-
genase activities dropped and ATP-ase activity in the bile canaliculi
rose. Normalization of these enzymes occurred in 20, 10 and 10 days,
respectively. During regeneration of cirrhotic liver, cytochrome oxi-
dase and lactic dehydrogenase activities rose rapidly, after an initial
drop and exceeded control values by the 10th day. By the 20th day, the
'typical zonal differences reestablish themselves. ATP-ase activity a"'Jo

Abstract In the first part of the work the authcr discusses the prc-
ble,-a of the shortenjaings of the Dlein-Gorden equation gen-
eralized by Rajski (Riferat Zhur Fizika, 1956, No 8p 21864).

ticns for the compatibility of the general first and second
order equations is indicated. In the second part of the
article the integrals of moticn are considered for the first-
order field aquation, along with the properties of the total

Abstract : The angular momentum operator in the Rayski bilocal
theory (Ref Zhur Fizika, 1956, No 8, 21864) is determi-
ned. It is shown that this operator is the integral of
motion. Its commutation relations with other operators

T--17XT: On the basis of the approximation method of Edwards and Peierls
(RZhFiz, 1955, no. 7, 13179) and of Lib (RZhFiz, 1958, no. 9, 19687), the single-
particle Green function of the fermion in four-fermion interaction (of the form
g(q1_Y)(ffFY7_)) is examined. The Green function is written out in the form of the
weil-known Lehmann integral presentation. It is shown that in the investigated
approximation the Green function coincides with the propagation ftinction of the
free, "covered" particle in the case when the bare mass of the fermion does not
equal zero.. If, however, the bare mass does equal zero, a value corresponding
to the case of the freely moving neutrino is obtained for the Green function.

quality of lubricant required for a given operation. The relation
between dynamic viscosity of thu lubricant,, the yi6ld point of the
metal, and the'extrusion rate are factors in the equation. For
metals with high yield points high viscosity lubricants are needed;:

Abstracts The authors describe their experience with the use of neuro-
leptanalgesia, both in general and in local anesthesia. The dru--s which
they used were Dehydrobenzperidol and Fentanyl. 200 operations conducted
at the Central Military Hospital at Prague in a 6 months period in 1965-
1966 are discussed. The length of the individual surgical treatments
varied betveen j and 4j hours. The course of the anesthesia is described;
its effects upon breathing, blood circulation, and the CNS are evaluated.
Instances when nouroleptanalgesia should be combined with the use of other
anesthetics are discussed. Side effects of neuroleptanalgetics are de-

Abstract :Description of a simple method for determining the resolving
power (R) of photographic emulsions. A raster with a sinusoi-
dal variation of transmission is printed by contact'on the in-
vestigated emulsion. The advantages of this raster is that
the result obtained is independent of the properties of the
lens. Starting with a certain value of the frequency, the
emulsion does not resolve the corresponding harmonics and
their absence in the image, This limiting value of frequency
(which is identified with the resolution) is readily obtained
if one considers the diffraction pattern produced by the
photographic image of the raster when illuminated from a
