APSTRACT: The optimum dynamic mode of operation of a magnetogandynamic generator
with constant local electrical efficiency and a constant magnetic field has been
investigated by using one-dimensional equations for the flow of conducting gas in the
converter duct. The valid limits for the one-dimentional approximation of electri-
cal and magnetic quantities were determined. The optimum specifications for a
It/Magnetogasdynamic generator were found. Simple analytical solutions for certain

TEXT: The.electric conductivity of a pelletized ZnO-Al2O3 mixture was
examined. The relative concentrations of the component@B were varied between 0
and 100%. The pellets were'first annealed for 6 to 8 hours at 1,2000C and sub-
sequently for 12 hours at 9000C. It has been established that the activation
energy of the electric conductivity and the temperature coefficient of resistance'i
depend on the ratio of the components and reach a maximum for the mixture 1 : 1.11i
This composition to which corresponds the compound ZnA104 with a spinel-type
structure is recommended as a thermistor'for use at high temperatures. There
are 27 references.

TEXT: The method patented for the production of high-strength ceramic
articles is characterized by the fact that they can be heat-treated in
electrical furnaces at relatively low temperatures: 1250 - 14500C. The
optimum composition of the mixture is,@99.8% pure Al 0 combined with

the burning process, at least 90% of the'..-crystals are obtained ,( 311 in
size. So as to obtain a high degree of hardness, strength and viscosity
