Experiments were made with an altitude and azimuth table according to the Heimann principle.
Several nautical instriments such as sextants, course indicators, compass cards, bearing
rlates, etc. were constructed in order to introduce the 400 graduation into aerial
navigation. The Illemann method is an aid in calculating latitude and declination. Tables
show results of calculations.

Fcr the evaluation of 'toxicity,' blood of rabbits in.various stages of septicaemia
was mixed with penicillin and kept at 370 C. for,30 min. A complete absence of toxicity
in the penicillin samples was recorded as compared with the toxic controls. When
penicillin was mixed in vitro w1th 11. pyogenes,toxins no neutralization occurred
regardless of concentration of thelantibiotic. When, hcwever, blood or serum were

pyogenes,toxins and serum alone resulted in a hyperaemic reaction only, but the in-
jection, of penicillin with the toxins resulted in severe necrotic skin lesions. Cn
the.other hand, a complete neutralization was evident after Incubation of penicillin
