Title :An Apparatus for Studying the Corrosion in Liquids
that are Circulating in Very Aggressive Media.
Orig Pub: Chem. listy, 1957, No 5, 986-987.
Abstract: To investigate the rate of corrosion of metals in
liquids that are circulating in aggressive media,
a glass apparatus (from Simax glass) was constructed.
It was equipped with a pump to provide the speed of
70 liters/minute, and was heated with glycerin or
oil to obtain high temperatures (approx* 3000C),,
This apparatus makes it; possible to measure the
conductivity, pH and polarographic analysis of

study of Al stability in water containing H2S and
its condensate. It was also tested during studies
of continuous Zn-plating of rapidly moving strips.

Title Alfalfa on Semi-RE!Clained Bog of Dzhalal-Abad District.
Orig Pub S. kh. Kirgizii, 2.9c6, No i, 14-17
Abst Experiments conducted in 1950 to 1954 by the Ozhalal-
Abad varietal-section confirmed collective farm prac-
tises in the cultivation of alfalfa, which were proven
to be rational for environments of semi-reclaimed bogs.
With correct agrotechnique it may yield 3 harvests of
green mass with up to 468.7 centners/hectare (120 cent-
ners/hectare of hay). In productivity this culture ex-
ceeds 4 to 6 times the natural hay harvests. The spe-
cimens with the best prospects are the local uzgen and
tolaiansk.

"The Clinical Si8mificance and Value of Pulmonarir Decortication in
Chronic Suppurative and Primary Tubercular
Zagreb, Lijecnicki Vjesnik, Vol 85, No 6, 1963, pp 615-625.
Abstract: /Author's Serbooroatian summary modifieg On the basis of
his wew_ exoerience and of data frori literature, the author con-
cludes that pulmonary decortication can be rc,,:a-.aed as ideal in the
treatment of chronic suppurative and primary tubercular empyema,
the mortality rate in the course of the decortication proper being
ne-li;rible (0.5 to 1 jercent). Tha Drocedure is inadvisable in
the Presence of cardiovascular or respiratory insufficiencies, re-
versible injuries to parenhymatose organs, florid inflammations,
or progressive pulmonary tuberculosis.
Eight illustrations, 31 Western references.
