Investigations, carried out in Minsk, have shown that the loss of natural UV
radiation due to pollution of the atmosphere had a detrimental effect an the animal
organism, Under certain conditions it caused a.disturbance of mineral metabolism
which manifested itself by a considerable increase of phosphatase activity and a
fall of the inorganic P content in the blood of experimental puppies.

reports discussed tectonics of the Carpathians and their mutual
relationship with the Balkanides, the stratigraphy and paleo-
geography of the Carpathians, vulcanicity in the Carpathians,
and the formation of different mineral resources in then.

ABSTRACT: Observations were made on the satellite 1960 4 1 during August and October
1961. A HAFA-3o/25 camera was used. The observer was_A!-G. Kr 10v. Measurements
were made on a M-3 microscope by R. M. Belenko, 1. M. Paarerov, and G. V.
Romanova. Computations were made by the Xiseley method for two sets or three
reference stare and by the Turner method. Yu. Ye. Sentsova did the calculations on
the Ural computer. Observation times were reduced to standard time. The last col-
umn of the table shows possible maximal error in coordinates becau 9 or unreliabil-
ity of locating ontical center within 1 cm. V. I. Belenko and Z. S. Shilkins
participated in the work. Results of 125 observations are given in a table, part
