(IMo Al MoA12, MoA13) ha've been investigated. It was found that the
1~eLrmal conductivity of aluminides at room temperature is lower than
that of pure components. The values of the thermal emf and Hall
constant of aluminides indicated that aluminides have predominantly
electron or hole conductivity and that their thermal emf is basically
the same as that of metals. Aluminides with a high aluminum content
have a minimum resistivity. The microhardneso of aluminides decreases
and their thermal expansion coefficient increases with increasing

aluminum content. The temperature dependence of the resistivity,
especially in aluminum-rich aluminides, is linear but. the resistivity
of VA13, TaA13, MoA12, MoA13, and ReA12 reaches a maximum at about
800C arid then begins to drop. Generally, aluminidea are characterized
by a rather high [fall constant and by rather high renintivity and
