class accuracy with the aid of special heads mounted on 'the cross-carriage
slide of screw-cutting lathes. Heat-treated (RC 33) pins are threaded, having
a length of1from 36 to 56 mm and being made of the steel grades 30VIM,15

1.35 --- a-n-37_"~)KhMX.---R-aR-alloy cutters with honed cutting edge are used as cutting
Gools. The durability of the cutters amounts to 60 min. Chips are removed
by compressed air. In comparison with the standard methods of cutting
threads with cutters and taps, the efficiency was Increased by 2 - 3 times.
